The Prathertown Collection is Now Available Online

We’re thrilled to announce the public launch of The Prathertown Collection, a remarkable archival project celebrating the legacy of one of Maryland’s most enduring families.

This collaborative effort brought together esteemed partners including Corey Lewis, Assistant State Archivist of the Maryland State Archives; Tracy Thompson of the Enoch Pratt Free Library; and Imri and Gabriel A., our Members/Employees as a result from a grant from the Department of Service and Civic Innovation.

Over the course of nine months, Carl Prather, Sr., Vernon Prather, Sharon Prather and Carolyn Prather Howard—among the community’s most deeply rooted and well-loved historians—worked tirelessly to provide images and detailed metadata. The result is an initial curated collection of cultural artifacts now available for public exploration.

Hear their stories live in person on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at 3 pm as we kickoff Prathertown Preservation Week.  Your ticket purchase, donation and/or sponsorship continues the legacy.
